Therapists
Nathan Tenney Therapy Manager, P.T., D.P.T.
“As a Physical Therapist, I have the pleasure of meeting individuals from all walks of life, from the elite athlete to the weekend warrior and everyone in between. No matter who they are, they all have the similar problem of pain or weakness affecting their life and limiting what they want or need to do. I have the opportunity to help individuals regain function in their day to day activities, not only by treating the symptoms but by looking for and addressing the causes of their limitations.
“My background is in sports medicine and
post-operative rehabilitation. My experience
has given me the opportunity to work closely with doctors, nurses, case managers and
other therapists, forming a team of clinicians
whose sole focus is to improve people’s lives.
Nothing is more fulfilling to me than helping
people return to their lives as they want it to
be.
“I firmly believe in the power of patient
education. When individuals want to be an
integral of the recovery process, they need to
understand what is affecting them and what
can be done to change it. They are the most
important person on the treatment team;
and by enabling them, they can use that
knowledge to help themselves for the rest of
their lives.”
